Creation

In The creation of the world, you will notice a lot of things. God who created the world used an ordered step. The Bible teaches but we need the Holy Spirit to teach us the principle of creation as defined by God. The first thing to note is that God created 2 realms: Heavens and Earth. Then the story shifted out from heaven and focus more on Earth. How God created the heavens was cut out of this context. The materials used for the creation of Heaven were not defined in our scope of knowledge. God only tells us how creation on earth is done. Before we continue, It is expedient that we take our time to read through Genesis 1 and 2 because this is where we will be focusing on our studies. The first thing God brings into our notice is that this realm is a realm full of darkness. The default mode for this realm is darkness. But in that darkness, God’s Spirit was hovering, meaning darkness is not a limitation for God’s Spirit. The Spirit knows its way even around the darkness. This is a way of telling you that if the Holy Spirit dwells inside you and you know of a truth the Spirit of God is in you, darkness is not a limitation to you. Even as the Spirit is hovering and moving in the darkness, the bible said the Earth is formless and void. Remember even man is referred to in the bible as earth. Sometimes the Holy Spirit can be in us but we are still formless and void because we don’t know how to operate. We will see that in Adam's life when he was lonely. Instead of him talking to God’s Spirit that comes at the cool of the evening, to interact with him, he kept quiet. God now, creating thing first created light! This tells us we can’t create things in the darkness. The invention, innovation, ideas, prophesy, revelation comes as a result of God’s light. In the darkness, even if you create things how can you see them. Don’t also forget, God did not just speak this thing to the existence, the Spirit was hovering. This tells us how to creating things on earth because for God to give us this information, he wants us to learn it and use it. Most of us pray in darkness – in sin. Some of us pray even in the light, but the Spirit is not present. You have to be a good student of the Spirit to always notice His presence. God did creation for 6 days using the spoken word. But most of the things he spoke were not created that day he spoke them. God was teaching us a technology to build things from the realm of the spirit to the physical realm. When you pray in tongues and the spirit of God is present, you can start speaking like God; but know you have to work physically as God did by using his own hand to create man in chapter 2, which he used his mouth to create in Chapter 1. In chapter one order of creation, vegetation, animals were created before man. But in chapter 2 Man was created before vegetation and animals – HOW? In chapter one, God spoke about the creation of Vegetation, but in Chapter 2 we will notice that before the creation of Eden, God himself said, there has not been raining on the earth and no one to work on the earth. God himself planted a Garden in Eden. Eden itself represents a system that we will discuss soon. We now see that God only spoke those things into existence but was waiting for a man to come into existence and work it out. This shows us that God partners with man to accomplish his purpose on earth. His purpose on earth cannot come to reality unless he finds a vessel – this is why he breaths his Spirit into the man. God now created a vessel called Adam from the Earth (Adam was earth extension). But notice as he created Man, the Bible itself said after the creation God blew the breath of LIFE into his nostrils, and that BREATH of LIFE is what made MAN a LIVING SOUL. This shows that man was a dead soul without this BREATH of LIFE. This Breath of Life is what shows that MAN is Living Soul. Man cannot be a Living Soul without this Breath of Life. The problem is that when man fell, something happened. When God created Eden, God told the man the day he eats of the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil, that day he will die! But if we can peep into chapter 3 when the man finally eat the fruit, did he die? Oh Yes; He died! He died because that breath that made him a living soul left. This shows that many people are dead, they are just on a journey of returning to dust as they are dust. He was just the way he was created before the breath of life was blown into his nostrils. Why did God choose to express the Holy Spirit as the breath of life? He is trying to tell us that the Holy Spirit is as IMPORTANT to MANKIND as AIR. Just like a man cannot live without breathing, that is how we can’t live without the Holy Spirit. If you can stop breathing for 5 min, then you can live without the Holy Spirit for 5 min. Let's take this further: Take a close look at Genesis 2:19 “And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every fowl of the air…” Let's have a good understanding of this verse of the scriptures. Out of the ground, God formed; these animals, birds that way created, and man has similar characteristics. They can walk. They can talk (make sound), see, breath, taste (each has what they can eat and what they cannot eat), feel (if something is hot or cold) They can mate (sexual intercourse) etc. Man also has similar properties as them: Talk: Animals make different sounds, and each sound is peculiar to each animal. Dogs can interact with each other using their own sounds, lions too, birds too, goats too, monkeys, etc. Same as man, we have different languages across the world currently. See and Breath: Every human being on earth can see and breathe. Taste: Each tribe, ethnic group, and race have a different kind of food and taste. Some tribes do not eat certain kinds of food, while some can. The above shows some similarities between Man and Animals. With the above point established, it can be seen that when God created man, he created man just like the animals, but God still has to breathe into man’s nostrils for him to become a living soul. What does that statement imply? Let me helps us answer it. If something is not living, then what is that thing? DEAD! This is the reason why some people possess some animal characteristics. Some people eat their fellow human beings just like lions eat their fellow animals etc. This tells you that if the Holy Spirit is not in you, you are dead, and to prove it more for you, demons do not have the legal right to live on earth until they possess a human being. It was God’s Spirit that made Adam a living soul. In chapter 3, when we talk about the fall, we will see that man is a vessel and needs a spirit to possess it, just as the devil possessed the serpent and used it to deceive Eve, that is how it has posses many into lesbianism, gay, etc because this is not God’s system. With that being said, we can now see that we need the Holy Spirit more than we need the breath of life. May the Lord grant us understanding and not allow the Holy Spirit to depart from us. This in turn shows that death is not when you breathe your last breath. In God’s definition of death is the absence of the Holy Spirit. When a man stop breathing, he only obeyed what God said: Dust you are, and Dust you will return. The main man is the Spirit that is inside man.

WHISTLE BLOWER - JUDE

Jude's letter should be read with a clear mind, it was written to believers and not unbelievers. Jude actually was a whistle-blower. Sometimes we don't know something is going wrong, because we basically have no idea. In as much as we try to protect the faith, healthy living is also required Spiritually as it is Physical - Even Apostle Paul talked about it in 2 Cor 7. Most times, we are ignorant of the fact that we are sick, because we have not seen the symptoms, but we started falling sick, from the kind of things we eat and drink. Excesses are what result in sickness. Jude on his own is showing the church where they are losing it gradually - unknowingly. The first thing to note in the book of Jude is how he started his Epistle. Jude ensured to tell us he knows the category of people he was writing to, lest they think he was writing to unbelievers. The first thing to take into consideration - SERIOUSLY, is the 2 kinds of people he mentioned Here in vs 1: "...writing to those loved by God the Father, called and kept safe by Jesus Christ". These are the 2 kinds of people that reside in the world:
  • ...those loved by God (The whole world, God love his creation (EVERYBODY))
  • ...those called and kept safe by Jesus Christ (Believers who have been accepted in the beloved)
These 2 word sounds strange but it’s important to digest both of them. You can see that God during creation said everything he created was good. Even when Adam sinned, out of Love, God made them clothes out of Animal Skin to cover their nakedness - (God wants us NAKED before him - implying he does not want us hiding anything before him (He is God of ALL and not SOME)). But even as he loved us and care for man, we are not safe because we don't have his nature anymore and we can't come close to him. We are sinners and God is a consuming fire. We are vulnerable to the Devil who is always wanting to destroy us – John 10:10, but God cannot and will not break his principles for you. He is HOLY and doesn't permit evil. For that reason, He watches us from far helpless in saving sinful man, but he ended up providing a means to that - Jesus Christ. This is why Jude said (called and kept safe by Jesus Christ). Jesus is Noah's ark of safety and sure insurance of enjoying divinity (which will be explained at the end of this teaching). Jesus restored us to the original state of Adam in Eden before man Fell - that is why He is called the second Adam – 1 Cor 15:45. Enough of the explanation is a sermon for another day. Jude writing on, he gave out 3 powerful instruction to the church he was writing to:
  • Relax, everything's going to be all right; - Phil 4:19
  • Rest, everything's coming together; Rom 8:28
  • Open your hearts, love is on the way; 1 Cor 13:8-9
These words, even though it was directed to the church at that time, with regards to persecution, it also tells us how the kingdom operates. Paul in Philippian 4:19 - ...God will do everything for us abundantly. Paul in Romans 8:28 - ...for we know that everything works together for them that love God. If you look at his writing also in 1 Cor 13:8-9, you will understand while Jude said: ...open your hearts, love is on the way (PERFECTION). These words should tell us to Relax, Rest and Open our hearts to God's love. Jude continues his message, telling them the reason why he is writing to them: First he informed them about what he intended writing to them, about how to live the Christian life of salvation, but he has to keep that aside, to beg them, insisting that they guard and cherish this faith they are entrusted with, this kingdom they have come to belong. Now he starts by telling the church why he is writing to them - WHISTLE BLOWING. He noted out that there are people of which the bible talked about - Matt 24:24, who has slipped into the church. These people who slipped into the church which Jude was referring to, came with an ungodly doctrine, perverting the grace of our God into license for immorality and denying Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord. So, if you find yourself in the midst of people who called themselves God's people and these 2 attributes are part of their doctrine; you should know where you are. Jude continued his writing to point out to them things of which they know about; people who abused GRACE in the Old Testament and what it resulted. He started with the tribe of Israel when they were delivered from Egypt, but they keep annoying God even with all the signs and wonders God was showing them, and God destroyed them in the wilderness Numbers 13, 14 (14:20-23; 27-29). Take careful thought when reading those chapters and verses. The reason why God destroyed them was first - Unbelieved, secondly - TREATING HIM WITH CONTEMPT (Abusing Grace). He continued, talked about the watchers in Gen 6:1-8, but to have a good understanding, get hold of the book called: THE BOOK OF ENOCH. Next, he talked about Sodom and Gomorrah: Sexual immorality and God destroyed them with fire and burning sulfur. This is a way of cautioning them, that just as Grace covered the Israelites, it did not stop them from being destroyed, likewise the angels of God. They crossed their boundaries and were judged immediately, Sodom and Gomorrah got it hot, even though they were not under grace - Heb 12:29. If those not under grace have it hot, what of us who know the truth and treat the blood of Jesus with contempt – Heb 10:29. Moving down to vs 9, he said: ...This is the same program of these latest infiltrators, telling us these men came to bring down God’s wrought and destroy us. If you read through the book of Revelation, you will see when Jesus was addressing some churches. He commended those who tested people who claimed to be Apostles, and they were fake, and he also condemned those who allowed Jezebel who called herself a prophet, misleading the church and abusing grace, even those who follow the order of Nicolaitans, and those who follow the order of Balaam. Continue to talk about these ungodly people who crept into the church, Jude continues his whistleblowing, which is one common attitude you find in most prayer houses in Africa (Nigeria). He said when Arch Angel Michael was disputing with the Devil about the body of Moses, DID NOT DARE LEVEL HIM WITH ABUSIVE OR BLASPHEMOUS WORDS, the only thing he did was what he saw happened in the throne room of God in heaven described in Zechariah 3:2 "The LORD Rebuke you, SATAN". This was the same exact word Arch Angel Michael used against the Devil which Jude used in vs 9. This is also the same thing Jude’s brother – James taught in his own epistle in chapter 4:7 - ” …submit to God, Resist / Rebuke the devil, and he will flee” . Even the Master Jesus never insulted the Devil, who then do you think you are to do IT? There was no use pointing out this if not for a reason: the ungodly men were teaching people to use abusive words against the devil, even as they are falling from grace, hereby hardening their heart to SIN. vs 10 says it all: ...this people slander whatever they do not understand, and the very things they do understand (reigning abuse on celestial beings, abusing grace) will destroy them. They have followed the footsteps of:
  • Cain (who even as God warned him against killing his brother, abused Grace, and went on to do it, and ended up a wandered)
  • Balaam error (Number 25, 31:16) (Who out of greed for money, just like the ungodly men of God, preaching what people like to hear so they can support their church and bring more people, but leading God's people astray to sin against God and attracts God's anger and punishment) (Romans 16:17-19).
  • Korah's rebellion: Korah and his household and other men REBELLED against the man of God (Moses) and the ground open and swallowed them (Hell, Suffering, God's vengeance)
The order of his warning as explain above is this: when you disobey like Cain who heard and know God’s word and fall into the error of Balaam, meaning you know like the Israelites that Sexual immorality is sin, and eating food dedicated to Idol was sin which Moses told them, but they went ahead to disobey God, the earth (world) will swallow them up like Korah because their sin will be tagged REBELLION. Jude did not leave us in the dark as to what their fate will be. They will be destroyed. He continues his story reminding them that Enoch talked about them, even the Apostles talked about them and he gave a laid down of their characteristics:
  • They won't take righteousness and piety seriously, Christ second coming seriously.
  • They will treat it like jokes, and make religious doctrine around it to make them look good and acceptable.
  • They are the ones who split churches, thinking only of themselves (Rom 16:17-19).
  • They are empty vessels. They don't have the HOLY SPIRIT!
when you sense this attribute in a man of God, or a church, FLEE!!! Coming to my best part of Jude, who like a good father, flogs with one hand and draws them back with another hand, gave them a laydown manual on how to live a real-life (Christian life, unending life, overcomers lifestyle), to stand against deception: Building up themselves in the holiest faith by:
  • Praying in the HOLY SPIRIT (Praying in Tongues).
  • Staying (Waiting, holding unto, Trusting) God's Love
  • Keeping your arms open and outstretched (Principle of giving in the kingdom (God’s people and the Church)).
  • Always ready (relying upon, submitting) for the mercy of our Master - Jesus Christ
The afore-mentioned principles are personal characteristics every Christian should have. You have to build up your life first in those 4 kingdom areas. Then you graduate to how to deal with people:
  • Go easy on those who hesitate in the faith - Stop looking down on young believers and getting angry at them because you have crossed that hurdle and have been refined in that area. They will also cross it someday, that is why we have the second point: Go after those who take the wrong way (Those who have fallen to deception or trying to live up to your standard, go after them and help them just as God has helped you - Rom 15:2-3, Phil 2:4.
  • Be tender with sinner but not soft to sin (Don't always condemn them, but don't ignore them when they sin), The sin does not only affect the person on earth as making him dirty, the smell of that dirty person, reaches heaven and stings in the heaven – Jude vs 23).
What an endnote: To HE who can: Keep us standing TALL in HIS BRIGHT PRESENCE - FRESH and CELEBRATING (ALWAYS). What an awesome privilege to be a Christian and to be kept safe by Jesus under God's love in this wicked world. Regardless of the economy, killings, death, sickness, pandemic, etc, Jesus is Keeping me standing TALL, FRESH and CELEBRATING always in HIS BRIGHT PRESENCE - AMEN.

Who We Are

One thing that binds people together is relationship, but the relationship must have to go with understanding. In the family, the reason why you don't lust after your sister is because you know the kind of relationship both of you have - Brothers and Sisters. You don't lust after your children or sexually attracted to them. Two young people of opposite sex from same parent who never knew, and lived separately or under same roof might end up falling into a romantic relationship. Why? They don't have the understanding that they are one. This has been an issue in the body of Christ. We all have decided to go our separate ways, claiming to be the mightier one, the most valuable and more foolish, the most important one. This is the root of our problem in Christendom. Men raising up doctrine that suits them and not what suits Jesus our Lord and Saviour. The first understanding every believer needs to come to is - I AM A CHILD OF GOD! This is the basic understanding we should all have basically when we come to Christ and baptize into the body of Christ by the Holy Spirit. As a Child, you have a father. Not only do you have a father, you have siblings too. In a family, you are easy to forgive, you are easy to overlook, you are easy to understand their faults, you are also easy to let go. You strive to make them better, you strive to see each other grow. You want to cover their weakness, you don't display their bad part outside. You present them good to others, while you discipline them inside. You correct them with love and accommodate their stupidities while you guide them to growth. This is what we all do for our family and our siblings, why don't we think such culture and understanding should be adopted into the body of Christ (Church). If you understand the person sitting next to you in church is your brother or sister, you understand they have weakness and lack perfection. You understand both of you have the same father (God), and one Lord (Jesus), both of you share in the same baptism (same process of birth) etc., you definitely will be willing to help them grow, avoid castigating them, avoid gossiping about them, you will not flaunt their failures on social media, you will caution them and pray they become better. We are all citizen of one kingdom (Zion) - Heb 12:22-23. This is where our citizenship is. This is where we meet our father, and where we grow. We learn from the old testament and live in the new testament. Let's see examples of churches in the old testament. If you look at the nation of Israel, they have 12 tribes. This 12 tribes are different ministries, churches etc. I will be making a post on that in the future. But if you look at them, they all worship God, but each tribe have what is unique about them. No tribe is the greatest apart from the tribe of Judah who has the scepter of authority from their father Jacob (Israel). Let us all appreciate one another. Even though we have different tribe of Israel, they still answer one name (Israel - God's own nation). They quarrel amongst themselves, they fight amongst themselves, but no tribe of Israel will watch another tribe in crisis, war or attack, and keeps quiet. They cry together, they smile together. Even a time when the tribe of Benjamin messed things up, the whole tribe of Israel have to fight against them to do some cleansing, after that, they all wept aloud and even started sorting for ways to ensure that ministry don't close.
  • Judges 19: The Benjamite ministry committed a grievous crime against the tribe of Israel.
  • Judges 20: The whole church (tribe of Israel), went to punish Benjamite ministry for the disgrace they brought on the church (vs 10).
  • Judges 21: They prayed for the fallen tribe and made plans for restoration, to they don't go into extinction.
This is a very important thing to take into consideration.
  • They did not keep quiet on the matter.
  • They ensured they cleared the evil done by the people to desecrate the name of God (Jesus for the Church), but like a father beats the child with one hand and draw him back with another, they drew them back with another hand, and ensure the enemy the devil do not have his way according to John 10:10 (to steal, kill and to destroy).

Jesus signed WILL

Every REASONABLE man who lives on earth and has children, will always leave a will before he dies and crosses over to the other side. This is a common practice everywhere. The WILL you get from your father is limited to the resources of your father. The will of the richest man in the universe, and local carpenter shop can never be the same. We won’t be defining WILL because of how common it is. Hosea 4:6 – ” my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. "Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children.”. Taking a closer look at this verse of the Bible, there is something striking. Moreover, this is a popular verse many of us quote but have never read it before. You are suffering what you are suffering today not because you deserve it, but because you do not know why. Many people are paying for the sins of their fathers, many are under demonic chains because of the covenant their fathers had made with a certain spirit. Evidence of ignorant is when you perish in a certain area of life. The most common will in every tradition is LAND! Every man will possibly show his children all his land and divide it amongst them before he died. Some pass on blessings or curses to their children, which these people will in turn also pass down to their children. Jesus died and was married to the church, just as God was married to Israel. He died and left us with a will, and not just that, he ascended to heaven to be our lawyer (HIGH PRIEST), who makes sure that the will is enforced. No one would be able to lay claim that the will is invalid, because the one who wrote the will is the LAWYER.
What are these will written by Jesus:
  • Salvation: A sure guarantee of heaven and meeting the FATHER. 1 Cor 1:4-8
  • Holy Spirit: This is one hard truth most people refuse to believe, that the same spirit that lives in God lives in us. This is the reason he is called IMMANUEL: (GOD WITH US). Joel 2:28
  • His name: We are joint heirs with Christ – Rom 8:17
  • His Blood: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. 1 John 1:7
  • His authority: I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. Luke 10:19i>
  • His Protection: Then the LORD will create over all of Mount Zion and over those who assemble there a cloud of smoke by day and a glow of flaming fire by night; over everything the glory will be a canopy. Isaiah 4:5
  • His provision: Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, Ephesians 3:20
  • His Presence: I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Hebrews 13:5
  • Healing: But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. Isaiah 53:5
  • His Dominion: and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father—to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Revelation 1:6
  • Priesthood: But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 1 Peter 2:9.
  • Deliverance: But on Mount Zion will be deliverance; it will be holy, and Jacob will possess his inheritance. Obadiah :17
  • His calling: Again Jesus said, "Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you." John 20:21
  • His love, kindness, favour, compassion: If I was the only sinner Jesus will still have died for me. If it was only about living life on earth, he will have not died, but this is ETERNITY!!!!
  • His Righteousness: God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5:21.
  • Abrahamic Heritage: And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. Gal 3:29
  • His angels as our workers: Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation? Heb 1:14
  • Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole." Galatians 3:13
  • His estate: Ask of Me, and I shall give Thee the heathen for Thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for Thy possession. Psalm 2:8.
  • His wisdom: For, “Who can know the LORD’s thoughts? Who knows enough to teach him?” But we understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:16
  • His attributes: 1 Cor 12:7-11
These are just a few of what we have in Christ Jesus. Everything is a possibility in the realm of the spirit. All we need to do is to study the word and know how to appropriate it all from the cross. This was not willed to your name but in Christ, because you can fall, but Christ can’t. We have the signature of God through Christ to cash out not only for ourselves but for others.
Stop complaining and pray out all these, stop living in Ignorant, you could see all these were not my words, there are bible backings on all of them.
May God help us to possess our inheritance in Christ through the Holy Spirit - Amen!

Profit of covenant

Since we have understood that covenant intertwines 2 lives or more into one, it is important we as believers know that we are one. We will be in a deep mess when we fight against our covenant brother – regardless of his denomination. Apostle Paul laying down his teaching teaches us in Rom 14,15, and 16 on how to treat each other. Learn how to sacrifice for the good of your fellow brother. Many believers have hindered their access to God because they keep malice, slander, gossip, and offense against a covenant brother and think Jesus will be happy with them? Coming together as one helps us come closer to God. Staying alone keeps you at the foot of the cross – Where ever 2 or 3 are gathered in my name, I am there.
Profits of Covenant:
We will highlight some importance of covenant from the Holy Scriptures before we talk about that of the believers.
Lot escape from Sodom and Gomorrah was because of God’s covenant brother – Abraham. We now see how it covers not only us but people around us.
God himself came to Abraham to discuss his intentions of destroying Sodom and Gomorrah with Abraham before doing it. Just like marriage, husband and wife can be naked without being ashamed: It destroys secrets and gives access.
God with the anger of going to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, came to the house of Abraham, he told Abraham, Sarai his wife will conceive and bore a child, Sarai laughed and even lied that she did not laugh, but God even in his anger did not touch her Gen 18. The Gibeonites who tricked Joshua and the elders of Israel to cut a covenant with them ran to them for protection when a nation wared against them, the Israelites has no choice but to go out and fight, because they are covenant brothers Joshua 10. This should teach us a lesson, if a believer is passing through trials and temptation, regardless of the denomination and tribe, you ought to cover the person's nakedness. Don’t be like ham who saw his father’s nakedness and went and posted it on social media. Don’t join those attacking men of God and children of God – You don’t harm a covenant brother.
It extends to decedents: God’s covenant with Abraham was what made him remember the children of Israel when they were suffering in Egypt.
The children of Israelites walked through the desert for years and their sandals did not wear out. They never recorded miscarriage, bareness (even at pharaohs treat), in a battle no soldier was lost: This explains the divines protection and preservation.
God provided manna for them, meat, and water for them in the desert. These are not his children; these are his covenant brother – Abraham’s children. He feeds them, he provided for them, he gave them a pillar of cloud by day, to shield them from the sun, pillar of fire to warm them at night, he fought their battles for them, punishing their enemies – Moabites and Balaam. He kept on petting them even when they speak against him and murmured against God, he kept on guiding them because of his covenant brother Abraham – Covenant is decedent base.
How many times did you watch a Christian brother die out of poverty? How many times have you watched brethren die in the hospital because they could not foot bills? How many times have you sponsored the movement of the gospel? How many times have you feed brethren who you don’t even know, but because of the covenant of the cross that exists between you and the person, you decided to share the resource our father with another? Learn from God how he takes care of his covenant brother children. An example of someone who applied this principle in his life is David: 2 Sam 9:1, David offered to show favor to anyone in Saul’s household (Saul who wanted to kill him), for the sake of his covenant brother Jonathan (1 Samuel 20).
If Joshua and the elders of Israel could not wipe out the Gibeonites because of the covenant they have sworn together, even though they were tricked into it, God himself who said he honors his word more than his name, with anger to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah for their sins did not harm Sarai for lying, why do you always run away from God when you offend him? Don’t you know God is mandated to keep his part of the covenant as making you his child because of Jesus Christ? The bible said we are joint-heirs with Christ. Just to open your eyes the more – When Abraham was touring around in his early stage with God, he went to Egypt, when he was entering Egypt, he told Sarai his wife to tell them she was his sister, not his wife, Sarai did as she was told and the king took her as a wife and blessed Abraham, but that’s not the message, the message being that God was not even angry with Abraham for making his wife lie, and giving away his wife, God knows full well that Abraham is not happy his wife was taken away from him, God afflicted the Egyptians for Abraham's sake and the king enquired and found out his mistakes, and returned Sarai to Abraham. Why did all this happen, you have to mourn with your covenant brother. God fought for Abraham because he was not capable. There are many such stories, but know that you have an EVERLASTING COVENANT WITH GOD, which he cannot break.
SHALOM

New Testament Covenant

We stopped our previous talk on covenant on how women enter the Abrahamic covenant. They get to enter it through a marriage union with their husband. This makes both of them one (in future posts we might shed light on marriage covenant). In marriage, both man and woman are one. This was the principle God stated in Gen. If you notice, God always attributes his covenant with Israel with marriage. He (God) calls himself the Husbandman, when Israel deviates, He calls them adulterous.
Jesus makes a covenant with us and said we are the same as him. Just like he and his heavenly father is one, so also we and he is one. When God called Abraham, he changed his name from Abram to Abraham – Father of many nations – Bringing him into the royal family. The same happens to us when we are baptized (Rom 6:4), our name is changed and we are brought into the royal family of Christ and we receive our staff of authority to rule as in Psa 110:2, Eph 2:4-6. The death of Jesus brings us into a new covenant that took place on the Cross. God identified only with the Israelites before, but through Christ, we also can identify with God. The cross has two directions – Vertical and Horizontal.
The vertical being the longest shows us the part of the covenant that has to do with me and God. The second part being the Horizontal part has to do with the covenant between me and the body of Christ.
Vertical Part:
Be careful as a believer dealing with God. In as much as God is merciful God, he also a consuming fire. The bible makes us understand we are not meant to quench the spirit of God, nor are we allowed to grieve Him. He is the seal of our redemption. Grieving the Holy Spirit is like puncturing your protection as a believer. Notice how Long this part of the cross is. Imagine finding yourself at the bottom of the cross. The length shows you how to reverence God and the place you occupy when you shake your fist with God. If you are very observant in Church Services, there are some sections at which the auditorium is to be quiet. You are not allowed to move an inch, you are to sit down and not walk around in the church. These are times when we commune with God our father or God is communicating to us.
Times like:
Prayer Time (consecration): You are ministering to the Lord.
Communion Time: You are ministering to the Lord and also your fellow believers.
Sermon / Preaching / Homily: The Lord is ministering to the Church.
At these 3 times, believers are not permitted to walk around the church auditorium, as a sign of respect to the Lord. You don’t interrupt a king when he is talking.
Horizontal part:
This part has to do with believers. Taking a close observation of this part, we will notice:
this was where his hands were spread out as a symbol of embrace, to anyone who is willing to join the family – NO MATTER YOUR TRIBE.
This part is also equal both on the right and left, it shows our equality in Christ. No matter your denomination, tribe, age, etc., we are all equal in the body of Christ – JOINT HEIRS.
Another observation to note seriously is the distance it has to the top of the cross which is God’s part in the vertical. The horizontal part seems to be very close to God. It shows us as believers, the best way to grow is not growing alone, you will continually stay at the foot of the cross, but when you join a body of believers, we all grow and easily have access to the Father. The bible says you also, as living stones, [b]are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices that are acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
Each part of the cross has now been analyzed and its significance has been explaining, but what are the lessons to learn from it?
Our growth in the kingdom of God depends on our communication with God and also the body of Christ. God is not an author of confusion, neither is his body divided. A Kingdom cannot fight against itself. We have to learn how to keep our pride aside and sacrifice for the brethren. Jesus said when bringing a gift to the altar, and you remember you have a score to settle with your brother, drop your gift at the altar and go settle that score, not just settling the score but ensure it settled; even if it means taking elderly people to seek for peace, do it. The brother Jesus is talking about here is your covenant brother. Jesus teaching in our Lord's prayer said: forgive us… as we forgive those. A songwriter said: what so ever you do, to the least of my brothers, that I will do unto you. The Jesus you see is your covenant brother. In the marketplace, embrace your Christian brother or sister, denounce denominational segregation, exhort one another in love, rebuke one another in love, correct one another in love, above all Love another.
The most important element in the covenant is Blood, and it was shed on the cross of calvary, making my life and Jesus life be one. In baptism, I died because of my sins, but a new me resurrected. SHALOM

Do you need exhortation?

These are all warning markers—danger!—in our history books (Bible), written down so that we don’t repeat their mistakes. Our positions in the story are parallel—they at the beginning, we at the end—and we are just as capable of messing it up as they were. Don’t be so naive and self-confident. You’re not exempt. You could fall flat on your face as easily as anyone else. Forget about self-confidence; it’s useless. Cultivate God-confidence. No test or temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others have had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let you down; he’ll never let you be pushed past your limit; he’ll always be there to help you come through it.
